Hello

The birds are singing at the top of their sweet voices, the daffodils and primroses are just bursting into flower and the sun is shining...hooray SPRING IS HERE!!!

It did feel like a long hard winter. The Crone didn’t seem to want to let go of HER icy hold! But now at last we can feel the warmth of the Maiden’s touch.

I have spent the cold months beavering away in my studio. I started the year with a large commissioned painting of ‘Nuit’. I painted Her in oils...what a treat! I havn’t worked in oils for several years and had forgotton how wonderful they are...building up layers of glazes you can get beautiful depths and subtleties. It was SO exciting painting this piece...I wanted to capture the awesome quality of this powerful, creator Goddess. I started off with a rough sketch, bought a beautiful Italian linen canvas and began... From the moment I picked up my brush Nuit took over!!! My carefully drawn sketch went ‘out the window’...She had Her own idea of how She wanted to be portrayed. I just SO love it when I feel like a channel!

The resulting painting really holds Her energy...

This painting was commissioned and the lovely person who commissioned it is very keen for other people to enjoy it too... so I am thrilled to say that I am getting some beautiful limited edition prints made of Her.

I’ve been working on several other commissions...some more hare paintings (I always LOVE painting hares!) and also some images for a lovely new Doreen Virtue healing oracle deck.

Oh, some exciting news! I am in the process of putting together a ‘Luna Moon Hare’ calendar for 2010! It is looking really lovely so far! I am creating some new images for it and an astrologer friend is putting together an astrological ‘overview’ for each month. It’s going to be really beautiful! I’m aiming to have it ready by the summer ...
